Why report insurance scams?

Simply put, you pay when they cheat. False or exaggerated claims end up being covered by the premiums paid by honest people — including you and others that you know.

How to report insurance crime

You can visit your local police station, or you can choose to report it anonymously. Here’s how:

  • Call your local Crime Stoppers organization or visit their website
  • Call the Insurance Bureau of Canada at 1-877-IBC-TIPS (1-877-422-8477)
  • File an anonymous tip with IBC using their online tip form

Thank you for taking the time to report insurance crime.
